Great hosts. Pretty easy communication and very flexible. Overall a great place to stay with the family

The Beach House was exactly as described - tastefully remodeled while retaining the classic Aptos Beach bungalow vibe. Very thoughtfully prepared with outdoor games and items you would need for a beach getaway. The outdoor area and backyard are cleverly organized for everything you would want. I just wish we could have stayed longer (and had warmer weather!). Lots of great information in the folder for things to do and places to eat. Kudos!!

This was our third stay at the Blue Whale Bungalow, and it remains our favorite place to stay in Rio del Mar! Mariam is a wonderful and generous host who immediately remembered our family and welcomed our two dogs. The Blue Whale Bungalow is clean and cozy, with everything you need to enjoy the beach or relax indoors. It is located just two blocks from the beach, where you can enjoy the ocean breeze, search for sea glass, and admire the beautiful sunsets. We look forward to visiting the Blue Whale Bungalow very soon!

Our family rented the home with adu unit and it was worth the experience. The kitchen was the main highlight and we spent most of our time there. Highly recommend this home for a large family trip but still feel right at home. The home had all the ammenities provided and the location was very safe with a nice park for kids to play closeby. Eric was a pleasure to communicate and any concenrs were addressed promptly. Wish we stayed longer. Truly a value for the location.

Come for the convenient location, stay for the shower. Vic’s home was a welcome place to rest for a night while in San Jose. The home was very clean and also spacious if you are traveling with multiple people. The king bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable and the water pressure in the showers was amazing! After cleanliness and safety, comfy beds and exceptional water pressure are really appreciated. Try not to drive up the water bill by living in that shower, but know you will be refreshed and rejuvenated. Vic and the management team were extremely responsive and helpful with all of my questions. I will definitely try to rebook the next time I come through San Jose.

Lori and Don raise the bar on how to welcome guests. This home away from home was warm and welcoming, gorgeously stocked with small kindnesses to ease in travelers showing up late. I loved seeing a small flock of sheep and goats graze the pasture behind the house in the early morning, and hearing the chickens cluck in the frontyard coop while getting some fresh morning air.

Check in was super easy. The place is very cute and comfortable, and we had a great time. It’s an easy walk to downtown and the boardwalk, and we loved the restaurants in the area! Cafe Brazil has amazing food, BTW! Next time we’re in the area, Mermaid House will be our first choice!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. I loved hearing the waves at night. The house was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it and I would stay here again. The property is beautiful and close to restaurants, shops, and great walking trails.

We enjoyed the space and the view! Lots to do nearby but also a nice place to relax and unwind.

My family of 4 visited San Jose for a hockey tournament. This apartment/condo was 5 minutes from arena. Very convenient. Space was clean and perfect for our 3 night stay. We did cook and do laundry quite a bit; wished there was more pods for dishwasher and laundry, and a few extra trash’s bags. Other than that, stay was perfect and would stay again.

My family and I came out to California after experiencing a monumental loss. I wanted a quiet and beautiful place for us to get away for a few days, to heal some and meet up with near by family to handle a few personal matters. It was peaceful and beautiful, everything I ever hoped for. Gary and his wife were beyond kind and helpful, and I’ll absolutely come back.

Michelle and Peter are absolute gems. They were amazing with communication and helped me a ton when I left my wallet back at the Airbnb! Super honest and helpful cleaners as well. 100% our new go-to HMB getaway! We can’t recommend them enough!

We had a wonderful stay at Alan and Amelie’s with our friends! We especially loved the comfortable, spacious, charming and sunny common space, perfect for all of us to hang out together. The place had good separation of space with comfortable beds, a clean bathroom and complementary coffee in the cute vintage kitchen. It was walkable to downtown and the beach - a perfect home base to explore Santa Cruz! Thanks for being such responsive and welcoming hosts.

My friend and I were in town for Silicon Valley Reads and were instantly charmed by this listing's photos. Not only is this private in-law suite exactly as cute in real life, Ed and Toni were warm, welcoming, made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay and were always extremely responsive to messages. 10/10! Amazing views of the Pajaro River and the ocean. Perfect place for wildlife viewing. We enjoyed the comfortable seating area with panoramic coastline views through the large picture windows. There's also a nice deck attached to the living room and master bedroom.

This place is stunning! Hosts reached out to let me know they were available if I needed anything. It was clean, Cozy , Everything was labeled to make it easy to find things. Spacious! Had great recommendations readily available. It was well worth what I paid! It’s not often I feel at home in airbnbs but this place offered that environment! Location is walking distance to the beach. Shop, restaurants, and it’s quiet in the evenings! Highly highly recommend!

This was the cleanest AirBnB we've ever stayed in! Pristine! Tidy! Stunning ocean views from both the living room & primary bedroom. The entire villa has been remodeled yet still has the Old World Charm and coziness. This Villa is located on the 2nd floor of North Bluff - is very private - has a pool jacuzzi just steps away. The resort offers many amenities, restaurant, bar, room service (or pick up) massage, sauna - endless. Aptos Village is right across the street - walking distance offering many shops, market and a great place for pizza and Italian food. We will definitely stay with Sue again - as soon as we can! Next time, we'll try her other property #33. Sue is a GREAT hostess in every area and has earned Super Host many times over!

Marc’s beach view condo was absolutely beautiful. Spent a girls weekend there and it was very comfortable for three people. Kitchen was fully stocked, fireplace was nice and cozy. He was very flexible with our check-in time. I highly recommend this place if you’d like a peaceful location & quite beautiful ocean view. This is a perfect location in between Santa Cruz and Monterey/Carmel.

Perfect spot for a nice weekend vacation. Everything is within walking distance and our host was just amazing in every way! Will definitely want to come back again!

Staying at Seascape was the perfect kid-friendly vacation. The pool was easy to access from our condo and the views were beautiful. The condo's set-up with two bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs was great for our family of 5. The private beach was beautiful - we saw otters, whales, and my son found two perfect sand dollars walking down the beach. It was a little bit of a trek to get down to the beach with three little kids and all the beach gear, but once we were there no one wanted to leave. Several near-by restaurants were delicious, especially the newly opened Dos Pescados. It was fairly easy to get into Santa Cruz too, but we did have to time traffic or it would double the drive time (to almost 45 minutes).

The views and location is better in person. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away for awhile the location was beautiful. The host was very accommodating and left perfect instructions checking in was a breeze I really enjoyed this place.

We liked this place so much that we returned for the second year for our winter getaway. The space is ample for a couple and the furnishings very comfortable. There are restaurants and coffee shops in easy walking distance and the beach is also just two blocks away. Aaron is always ready to help
